“SLPC- A New Initiative for Better Expansion”
The Student-Led Placement Cell (SLPC) is a strategic initiative to translate the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 into practical outcomes. A student-centric approach lies at the heart of the SLPC, driving the creation of a dynamic ecosystem that prioritizes career readiness, skill enhancement, and meaningful industry engagement. Designed to be both practical and inclusive, this framework equips students to explore diverse opportunities and transition confidently into the world of work.
In August, 2025, Placement Cell has initiated a step in establishing the Student-Led Placement Cell (SLPC) at Government College for Girls, Sector-14, Gurugram, in collaboration with Medha. This student-driven body was effectively directed by Dr. Jitendra Malik (Principal) and successfully organised by the team of Placement Cell leaded by Dr. Prachi Gupta, Assistant Professor Biotechnology (Training & Placement Officer) joined by Ms. Sangeeta (Biotechnology). The support was facilitated by Mr. Sajal Mishra, Pankaj Kohli and Ms. Deeksha Singh from Medha.
An engaging orientation on the Student Led Placement Cell (SLPC) was conducted in online mode on 14th August 2025, where 15 enthusiastic students were finally selected from a pool of 40 registered applicants. During the orientation, the SOP of the Student Led Placement Cell (SLPC) was discussed with the selected students, and a clear roadmap for the future was outlined. The Placement Cell is now thrilled to announce the official establishment of the SLPC at Government College for Women, Sector 14, Gurugram, with a dynamic team of 10-15 enthusiastic students.
In the presence of the Principal Dr. Jitendra Malik and TPO Dr. Prachi, our SLPC has pledged to strengthen alumni connect and industry academia linkages which will open doors to greater opportunities, real world exposure and leadership growth for students while paving their path to successful career
